Pricing questions, answered
Is XGuard really free for clients?
Yes. Creating an account, browsing verified professionals, and requesting quotes costs nothing. You only pay the booking price you approve before your job starts — a small service fee is shown transparently at checkout, never after.
How does escrow protection work?
When you book, your payment is held by XGuard — not sent to the professional. Funds are released after the job completes (or per the cancellation policy), so you never pay for protection you didn't receive.
Do professionals have to pay to be on XGuard?
No. The Basic membership is free forever and includes a verified profile. Paid tiers exist for pros who want more visibility, premium bookings, and lower commission — they pay for themselves in extra bookings or they're not worth having.
Can I save by paying for a membership up front?
Yes. Professionals can prepay 12 weeks for 10% off, or prepay 24 or 56 weeks to get bonus weeks free (up to 12 free weeks on the annual plan). Prepay options are shown in the app at upgrade time.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Memberships are week-to-week (pros) or month-to-month (agencies) and can be cancelled anytime from the app. You keep your benefits through the end of the period you already paid for.
Does XGuard provide insurance?
No. XGuard is a marketplace and never carries or provides insurance. Professionals and agencies carry their own coverage where required, and their credentials are verified before they can accept work.
